Un aspecto de la reunión que sostuvieron becarios, la rectora y la FCU en días pasadosLa rectora de la Universidad de Carabobo, María Luisa Aguilar de Maldonado, indicó que el Consejo Universitario, aprobó el incremento del beneficio económico que reciben mensualmente los estudiantes becados de esa casa de estudios.
Según comentó, funcionarios del Consejo Nacional de Universidades (CNU), informaron a las autoridades rectorales que el pago del bono se hará efectivo a través de una entidad bancaria, y que será el banco el que realizará el anuncio en un diario de circulación nacional.
Expresó que “aún no han publicado cuándo se hará efectivo el pago, a pesar de que en el CNU dijeron que es un monto retroactivo que se pagará en dos partes. En la primera se cancelará mayo, junio, julio, agosto, septiembre y octubre, y en el segundo pago se va a depositar noviembre y diciembre. Estimamos que anuncien la fecha del depósito a más tardar la semana que viene”.
Otro de los compromisos con los que cumplió la directiva de esa alma máter durante esta semana, tuvo que ver con la actualización de la lista de becarios de este período lectivo, “actualmente la nómina es distinta a la que enviamos en abril a Opsu, cuando ellos (los estudiantes) hicieron el anuncio, y se hizo de la manera como lo dijeron, desde mayo hasta el día que se retiraron de la UC porque se graduaron, o desde mayo hasta la presente fecha porque todavía son estudiantes regulares, o desde el día que se incorporaron como becarios hasta la presente fecha. Eso está perfectamente cargado, ya está en Caracas, ahora estamos a la espera de ese anuncio en prensa, para que los beneficiarios sepan que deben acudir a donde se determine que hay que retirar el dinero”.
La profesora Aguilar de Maldonado, dijo que su propuesta ante la Oficina de Planificación del Sector Universitario fue que el recurso asignado para estos estudiantes, fuese depositado de forma individual en la cuenta bancaria de cada becario, “aunque hasta ahora no sabemos si será considerada o no esa petición”.
Aguilar de Maldonado recordó que en la Universidad de Carabobo hay cerca de 5 mil bachilleres que se benefician por sus talentos deportivos, culturales, académicos de investigación, adicionales a las mil 107 becas servicios, en las cuales a los universitarios se les cancela una cifra determinada por ser aprendices en los diferentes departamentos y despachos de la institución de educación superior.
